Landfall
Clean, Bright Interiors with Outdoor Living Designed for the Water
Construction: VDT Construction

At Landfall, the kitchen is where the house comes together. A bronze-toned range hood, a geometric tile backsplash, and steel-framed glass cabinets reveal the character, while a Wolf range and Sub-Zero refrigeration make it a kitchen built to be cooked in, not just admired. From the island, the view runs straight out to Choctawhatchee Bay.
Set on the bayfront in Regatta Bay, the home pairs clean, bright interiors with an outdoor living space designed for the water. Two levels of covered porches overlook a negative-edge pool, an outdoor kitchen, and a private dock just beyond the lawn.
THE VISION
The owners wanted a full-time home that made the most of its bayfront setting. They pictured a kitchen at the center, open living spaces for family and friends, and an outdoor life that felt like a natural extension of the house, a home that could handle a full house as easily as a quiet evening on the water.
Our Approach
We designed Landfall so the bay is part of nearly every space, with walls of glass opening the main living areas to the covered porch and pool deck. Inside, details like the diagonal paneling along the stairs and the mix of metal, stone, and tile in the kitchen add texture without crowding the clean, bright rooms.
Outside, the same thinking carries through. A grid of pavers and turf ties the pool deck together and leads the eye toward the water.

THE REsult
Landfall brings together a kitchen made for cooking, interiors with quiet character, and an outdoor space that makes the water part of everyday life. It’s one of our favorite bayfront homes in Regatta Bay and a strong example of full-time waterfront living on Choctawhatchee Bay in Destin.
